Download your price list from Xactimate. Make it yours. Send it back.
You download your own .PLX price list out of Xactimate and upload it here. This is the environment where you make your modifications and effective dates (global, trade, category, labor and equipment rates, or one specific line), and when you are done you download a .PLX file that you upload straight back into Xactimate. Every adjustment is recorded in an ordered, auditable lineage, never overwritten. This tool is in development and not yet available in the app.
Xactimate out. Xactimate back in.
Estimate Price List is the workspace between the two exports. You never leave the .PLX format, so nothing has to be rebuilt by hand on either end.
Export from Xactimate
In Xactimate, export the price list you want to work on as a .PLX file. That is the only thing you need to bring over: no retyping, no spreadsheet rebuild.
Upload it here
Drop the .PLX in and we read it natively: every line item, code, trade, region and effective date comes across as the base layer of your list.
Adjust and customize
This is the environment for changing it: percent or flat moves at global, trade, or category level, labor and equipment re-rates, conditional rules, CSV bulk re-price, or a single-line override.
Download a .PLX
Export the customized list back out as a .PLX and import it into Xactimate. What you write your estimates against is your list, not a generic one.
Every adjustment, in order, folding into one current value.
Your Xactimate list, plus the full history of every change made to it.
Start from an imported .PLX, a manual entry, or a CSV, matched by region and effective date. Publish it, and it becomes both your Xactimate export and the cost basis the rest of the platform reads.
Draft to published
A list's current values are always the fold of its adjustment lineage over its base items (recomputed on demand, never stored as a second mutable copy). "Draft" just means the lineage is not finalized yet.
Region and date matched
One org can hold price lists for multiple regions and effective dates. Lookups match on both, not a single "default" flag, so the right list applies to the right job.
Append-only, ordered, and always re-derivable.
Every adjustment is its own row, applied in sequence. Correcting one means appending a reversing entry, not editing history, so the list's current state is always explainable by replaying its lineage.
Global
A single flat or percent adjustment across the entire list.
Trade
Adjust every line item belonging to a specific trade at once.
Category / component
Target a Xactimate CAT code, or just its material, labor, or equipment component.
Labor & equipment rate
Re-rate labor hours or equipment days independent of material cost.
Line override
Set one specific line item to an exact value, overriding everything above it in the lineage.
Conditional rule / CSV bulk
Apply a rule-matched adjustment, or import a bulk re-price from a spreadsheet, validated on the way in.
Not just a spreadsheet -- a cost basis the rest of the platform reads.
A published, region-and-date-matched price list is what Estimate Budget and Estimate Analysis reach for first when deriving a line's cost basis, before falling back to broader trade averages.
Every derived figure that uses a price list carries its method and confidence. You can always see whether a number came from an exact price-list match, a near-date fallback, or a broader trade average, never a black box.
What people say after
building a price list.
Unedited feedback from estimators and desk reviewers who customize their own price lists here.
"Used Estology on a $47,000 water loss. It found the missing line items and price drift in about ten minutes. The carrier accepted the supplement the same day."
"As a general contractor, I used to spend hours cross-referencing estimates. Now I upload both PDFs and have a defensible line-by-line report before lunch."
"I needed to explain why the contractor's estimate was higher than ours. Estology gave me a clear, sourced breakdown that both sides trusted."
"We had three competing estimates on one file. Estology showed exactly where each one differed and why, so the negotiation took one call instead of five."
"My position letter practically wrote itself. Every variance was sourced back to the original estimate pages, so the adjuster had nowhere to push back."
"I caught $12,000 in dropped scope the adjuster missed. Without a side-by-side comparison, that would have come out of my pocket."

Coming soon, and what that means here.
Estimate Price List is not switched on in the workspace yet, so it is not billed and will not appear in your menu when you sign in. The reading and lineage half already runs in production behind Estimate Budget and Estimate Analysis. The remaining work is the editing and .PLX export surface. We would rather ship it late than hand you a price list Xactimate rejects.
Opens an email to support@estology.com. We will reply the day Estimate Price List goes live.
What people ask about Estimate Price List.
Short, direct answers about custom price lists, the import and export round trip, and where it stands today.
What is a custom price list for?+
Pricing the way your organization actually buys. You start from an imported list, adjust it by trade, category or individual item, and keep every adjustment on the record so a number can always be explained.
What format does it import and export?+
Xactimate .PLX, in both directions: import a list, adjust it here, export a .PLX and re-import it into Xactimate. The round trip is the point; the list does not become stranded in a second system.
How is an adjustment recorded?+
Append-only. Each change is a new layer on top of the base item (trade adjustment, category adjustment, item override), so any final price can be read back as the sequence of decisions that produced it, and nothing is silently overwritten.
Does it change my existing estimates?+
No. A price list is a reference your organization owns. It informs what Estology tells you about pricing; it never rewrites an estimate you or a carrier already produced.
How many price lists do I get?+
Up to 5 custom lists per organization on pay as you go, and unlimited on a team plan.
When is it available?+
Estimate Price List is in development and marked coming soon. The reading and lineage half already runs in production; the editing surface is what is still being finished. Nothing here is billed until it ships.
Included with your organization.
Pay as you go organizations can import, customize and export up to 5 price lists at no extra fee -- Price List is org-level, not billed per project. Team plans remove the cap entirely.
